The New Model AI manifesto and this website (the "Site") have been prepared, are operated, and are made available by QuarnLabs ("QuarnLabs", "we", "us", "our"). QuarnLabs is the data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR") and is solely responsible for the content of the manifesto and the operation of the Site.
For any legal, editorial, or data-protection matters, you may contact QuarnLabs through the channels indicated on the Site.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
3. Description of Service
The Site hosts the New Model AI manifesto, authored and published by QuarnLabs, and allows individuals and organizations to publicly sign it as an expression of support. Signing requires providing a name, email address, and optionally an organization name. All signatures are subject to email verification (double opt-in) and manual moderation before publication.
4. Eligibility
By signing the manifesto you represent that you are at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age required by your local data-protection law) and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you sign on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
5. User Content & License
When you sign the manifesto, you grant QuarnLabs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display your name, organization (if provided), and the date of signature on the Site for as long as your signature remains active. You may withdraw this license at any time by requesting removal of your signature.
You must not submit false information, impersonate others, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. QuarnLabs reserves the right to reject or remove any signature that violates these terms or its moderation standards.
6. Intellectual Property
The manifesto text and all original content on the Site are © QuarnLabs and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated. You are free to share and adapt the material, provided you give appropriate credit to QuarnLabs and the New Model AI manifesto.
"QuarnLabs" and "New Model AI" together with associated logos and identifiers remain the property of QuarnLabs.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. QuarnLabs does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer-protection law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QuarnLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site. Statutory liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury, or under mandatory consumer-protection law remains unaffected.
9. Consumer Rights (EU)
The Site is provided free of charge and does not involve a paid transaction; statutory consumer rights under EU law (including the right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU) therefore do not normally apply. Where mandatory consumer-protection law nevertheless applies to you, your statutory rights remain unaffected by these Terms.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. QuarnLabs is not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence. Disputes shall be subject to the courts competent for the seat of QuarnLabs, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
11. Changes to Terms
QuarnLabs may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
